When I was searching for my future orthodontist I felt like I was interviewing people for what seemed like a very difficult job. Those of you who've had braces will understand how hard it is to find someone professional who "jives" with your personality. When I first walked in Dr. Eric Fraser's door I was psyched by the framed yellow tour jersey on the wall and the massive stack of bike magazines - all my favorite publications in one waiting room. No Ladies Home Journal or those silly little magazines found in other places. Bike mags and gossip mags were all I needed. Unfortunately I have to arrive early to read them as the staff there are so efficient, you hardly wait more than 2 minutes to be seen.

Another thing about the office is their tolerance for a high energy 2 year old running around while I am getting new wires put on. Most of the staff, being parents themselves, are understanding. This makes both me and my daughter comfortable. They even have a movie playing for the kiddos and a slew of toys. However, my rambunctious little one would rather play with the sharp metal instruments used in my mouth.

Dr. Fraser is a cycling fanatic, always talking about his training, his gear, his new wheels, etc. That is why I feel so proud to have his logo on our jerseys and am so thankful for his support. How awesome to have an athletic and super professional orthodontist supporting us. I recommend him to all. He has a great sense of humor and I feel lucky to have him. If only I could persuade him to get this bird cage off my teeth sooner! I have never been the most patient of people and I look forward to the day they are off. I sure will miss going in the office though!
