Carol Cormier

Carol has been an athlete since high school, and knows how to train hard! She spent many years as a competitive runner, triathlete, and road cyclist, and was the "woman to beat" in Sonoma County throughout the 1990's .

Carol's results included: * 1990 Coors Light National Champion * 4th place 1991 World Masters Criterium Championships * 6th place 1996 Masters National RR * 1996 Master Champion Nevada City * 2nd place 1996 Mt. Tam Hill Climb *

She was also a member of the winning women's team for the Vineman in 1997, 2001, 2002, 2003, and 2004.

Some of Carol's most memorable experiences on the bike include: 'Riding and racing with the Bobator Team, and the Pope Valley Race. I was in 2nd place, but missed the final turn because my hands were frozen from the cold and rainy conditions and I couldn't apply the breaks! Getting 2nd in the 1994 Fountaingrove Circuit Race, which was my best performance after recovering from a near-death injury in 1992.

Due to a series of serious knee injuries, Carol had to "retire" from competitive events in 1997. She still rides regularly and seems to slip off the front on every climb during our NorCal Sunday Team Rides! She's still got it, that's for sure!

When she's not out riding, Carol enjoys spending time with her husband (she was remarried to her junior high sweet-heart!) and daughters Kimmy and Kendall, going to events with her new dog, Jackson, and visiting the local brew pubs.
