NorCal Velo took a 2 hour tour through the West County in search of oversized litter. We recorded the location with a GPS device donated to Ario B. from REI. Ario will send the waypoints to the County of Sonoma, who will take care of hauling it away. First we found a septic tank (?), which as Erika pointed out, has probably been there so long that its become habitat:

Our second find was the mother lode of the day, a whole trailer full of garbage:

Surprisingly, we had but one illegal dump site to record on Mays Canyon:

Someone decided to "discard" their kitchen appliance off of Harrison Grade Road:

All in all, we were pretty happy with how few illegal dumping sites we found. I guess the County had to do some massive clean-ups after last winters flood. As you can see, our Sonoma County roads really are beautiful:
