We Will Miss You, Elizabeth!!!

This was not the typical "House-hold" weekend! Jesse had a company shin-dig In San Francisco, so we cleaned ourselves up, Jesse put on a tie (he had to ask his boss to tie it for him in the lobby of the hotel...I sure as hell dont know how to tie one either), and we enjoyed an evening of fine dining and show tunes (Im serious) at the Embarcadero Hyatt. Just to stay grounded, I asked if we could bring my bike along and throw in a criterium the next day. I havent raced since November, and I knew I needed to get one in to maintain my mental health.

It was a gorgeous day in the bay, crystal clear. I knew theyd be having the women race with the 1/2/3 men, and I really enjoy doing that so I was excited. It was fun to be back in the saddle, the pace was quick but within my limits, and I was happy to see Miss Elizabeth out there with the dudes. Sadly, after the race she confirmed that she will be racing for another team this year, one based closer to her home in Palo Alto. Elizabeth, we loved having you on the team, and wish you an awesome 2006 racing season. Know that you will always have a spot on NorCal Velo, and sorry, I wont be taking you off my email list! I cant think of anything else to write, but heres a blurry pic of me sitting in. Guys give great draft!
