Land Park Criterium

I liked Land Park before (flat) but now I really like it! They put some fun turns in at the north end of the course, which made for lots of jumping out of corners, and thats fun.

As usual for Land Park, nothing really happened. There was some (ahem) REALLY SKETCHY riding going on, but Im used to that. So yeah, nothing really happened until the last lap, and it came down to the inevitable sprint. Ashlee Zimmer (resurrected from the dead? No, just a nursing school victim!) went for it out of the last corner. I immediately grabbed her quick little wheel and she hauled me along until I came around her, while Amber Rais came around me on the other side.

So I got second place and a $60 prize. Sweet. How did THAT happen??? Where WAS everyone??? I dont understand. But what the heck, I�m not complaining.

Then on the way home we saw an immature golden eagle hunting in some vinyards along highway 12. Strange behavior for an eagle, and a rare sighting in any case. Jesse was happy. It was a good day.
