Timpani Criterium

How frustrating. An attack about 30 minutes in. Three girls get away, LGBRC, McGuire and Proman. And they all have plenty of teammates in the pack, so after that, the race is pretty much controlled by these three teams and the break stays away.

I�m mad at myself because when the attack came, I felt like I was in the perfect position to try and go with those three. I was near, but not right at the front, and when they went I should have as well. Maybe I would not have been able to stay with them (they were two category 1 women and a cat 2) but I should�ve tried. But I didn�t.

Maybe the only positive thing to come out of this day was a chat with Carol, a fellow cat 3�er. (Although not for much longer, she�s moving to Italy this fall to open up her own B&B. Wow!) Anyhow, she said that it�s always nice racing with me because I hold a good line. While I know that�s not 100% true, it certainly is a great thing to hear.
