Women 3/4/30+

This race was much smaller than the one last month due to Sea Otter down the coast. NorCal was represented by Claire & I in the 30+, Lindsey in the 3s, and Chandra and Mariko in the 4s. It gave us a nice chance to race together at once. A few moves were tried in the race, but nothing stuck. Although it didnt actually rain during our race, it had been pouring, so the streets were soaked and littered with storm scum. This made for some extremely sketchy conditions at times, particularly when the field hit the corners with botts dotts. Kudos to the girls for keeping everything upright during the race. The finish came down to a sprint. Claire and I finished 1st and 2nd in the 30+, with all of us sprinting in the main group.

Women Pro 1,2,3

Claire, Lindsey, and I were part of a small group of women to do this race. Our legs were a little fried after doing the earlier 3/4/30+ race, but the opportunity to race again in our own town was too good to pass up. A group of two got away after a series of primes. We (Claire, actually) organized the chase group, and we took turns taking pulls, but we couldnt catch the two with fresh legs. We still had a solid race with the extra workout hopefully paying off down the road in fitness.
