Claires Infinion Report

Yee-hah! My first podium placing of the season! Racing on the old Sears Point circuit was pretty cool, but it was really windy, and we were riding so slow for the longest time! Yawn! Teams were there, but I didnt notice any team tactics being played out. Weird. Fine with me, I guess, because I know I can hang tough in a sprint finish. Not a very exciting race! I felt really good in the sprint, but I came third. I remembered to breathe! You can see below how close the sprint was.

Christy Murphys Infineon Race Report

Hi, race report from Infineon this past weekend. I raced the expert cross country race on Saturday. I pre rode part of the course on Friday and felt really good about the race. We were scheduled for 3 laps and I was glad about that because my endurance is so good right now. When we got to the start they changed it to 2 laps but no worries, it was going to be hard . I started out steady and got stronger as the 2nd lap came along and was yearning for a third when I found the other competitors crumbling and cramping. I lost 3rd place by 2 seconds to a crit racer (I just dont have that kind of power at the end) but ended up 4th age group and 7th expert overall. Not to bad for a triathlete.
