Cantua Creek Road Race

After missing the bus for Murrietta, and riding in the rain for two days, I decided to bite the bullet and race. Rain, wind, mud, sun, even better photo op than Patterson! Due to the wind and limited visibility from rain and mud-caked glasses, we stayed together on the first lap. A 3s rider got bored at the turn-around and went, taking two riders with her. I was in a second group of three- who seemed lackadaisical about formulating an effort to catch them. After a solo bridge I caught on. With various girls catching on and crashing themselves out, we ended up with the same group of 4 at the end. I waited too long to go for the uphill finish, and ended up 2nd.
