Small field, hot day. Luckily, the women’s races were in the morning so we were spared the 98+ degree weather that some of the other racers had to contend with later in the day. Alexis looked strong in the Women 4s, and Denise and I had each other for company in the Women’s 1/2/3 race. As I said, it was a small field, and nearly 40% consisted of the Easton/SugarCRM girls from Los Gatos. Not surprisingly, they dominated the race, taking 3 of the top 5 slots in the placings. I felt ok, but did not have the greatest finish… good enough, however, to get myself a cute t-shirt.-rita
